LA1: Understanding Digital Photography Production

Fine Art- landscape, art,

security
Fine-art photography is photography created in line with the vision of the
photographer as artist, using photography as a medium for creative
expression. The goal of fine-art photography is to express an idea, a
message, or an emotion to the audience.
Fine art photography overlaps with landscape and portraiture, but it’s
characterised by the approach an artist uses to create photos in a distinct
way which make them look interesting to the audience.
Uses and purposes of
Fine Art
In European academic traditions, fine art is art developed primarily for aesthetics or beauty,
distinguishing it from decorative art or applied art, which also has to serve some practical
function, such as pottery or most metalwork. In the aesthetic theories developed in the Italian
Renaissance, the highest art was that which allowed the full expression and display of the
artist's imagination, unrestricted by any of the practical considerations involved in, say,
making and decorating a teapot.

Artists create these portraits which are then put into art galleries for other people to see. Most
of the time the portraits/photos have a story behind them and they have people questioning
the meaning behind it. Fine art is art that is not really simple they have a meaning which is
why the photos are most of the time surreal looking.
Photojournalism
Photojournalism is the process of story telling using the medium of photography as your main story telling
device. While a journalist will use their pen and paper to tell stories, a photojournalist will use their camera
to capture the visual representation of a story. This shows the audience the story and makes them question
what the story behind the photo is.
The emotion is often raw in photojournalism. The photographer is not directing the scene as a portrait or
commercial photographer would. Instead, the best of them blend into the background and become a shadow
figure.
Uses and Purposes of photojournalism

Through photojournalism magazines and newspapers are used for this to tell a story to the audience
through images.
The purpose of this is that it can tell people the news around the world by capturing certain events and
can the story can be told in a documentary as the images capture important memories and moments.
Using photojournalism we can look back at great events that have happened in history.
Advertising
Advertising is for promoting many things such
as brands and businesses through many
different ways. By using these ways it sends a
message when selling or promoting ideas to the
target audience.

Advertising requires a lot of communication

with the other users of a production or
service. Advertisements are messages paid for
by those who send them and are intended to
inform or influence people who receive
them. Advertising is often the most important
source of income for the media through which
it is conducted.
Uses and purposes for Advertising is the attempt to influence the buying
behavior of customers or clients with a persuasive
advertising  selling message about products and/or services. In
business, the goal of advertising is to attract new
customers by defining the target market and
reaching out to them with an effective ad campaign.

Advertising can be shown through many ways such

as ads, posters and much more throughout the
media. Using advertisements helps company's and
others reach a wider audience. Nowadays most
things would be promoted through social media and
the media itself as most people use this way on a
daily bases,
Architectual
photography
Architectural photography is
the photographing of buildings and similar
structures.
Architectural photographers require
additional skills and techniques to capture the
beauty of buildings, from the use of
perspective control to capture complete
spaces to knowing where and when to find
the shots.
Architectural photographers are usually
skilled in the use of specialized techniques
and equipment.
   Uses and purposes of
architectural photography
Architectural photographers are mostly used for commercial
purposes. They are taken and used by developers to publish
online or in brochures, or for portfolios.
These photographs are then used for:
