AED Solution
• Mainly used for portable, mobile, or retrofit systems
• Any generator could be used for AED solution. To control Generator APRs by DROC, this
generator should be integrated by E-COM platform.
• The wireless router is not required if the Detector is configured as AP. For more about it,
please refer to iRay’s manual.

Direct Sync Solution
• In the “Direct” Sync mode, the Generator must be configured as direct exposure
without any sync.
• When DROC enters the Exam screen, it will let Detector enter the work mode.
• When the exposure switch
is pressed, Generator will
directly ask Detector to
open its exposure window.

Configuration

11
Step 1. Connect Detector
• Connect iRay detector(s) by following iRay’s manual
• Configure IP address and related Wi-Fi if for Mars detectors
• Verify network connectivity by “ping”
• Test iRay detector with its service tool iDetector
• Calibrate iRay detector with iDetector

For more about the iRay detector service tool “iDetector”, please refer to
iRay’s manuals.

The iRay detector service tool “iDetector” has been packaged in “%DROC%\
IRAY\[Link]”

Quit the iDetector application whenever it is not in use.

Quit DROC and “PanelOprTest” before starting the iDetector application.

12
Step 2. DROC Configuration (V5.x)
• Go to “Config Tool > Hardware > Detector”

Specify an iRay detector

for your system

It is AED mode

Select it to connect the real

hardware. If not selected, DROC
will work in the demo mode

13
Step 3. Verify Connection (V5.x)
• In Config Tool > Hardware > Detector, click the button “Vefify connection” or run
“%DROC%\[Link]” application manually.

Quit “PanelOprTest” application whenever it is not in use.

Quit DROC and “iDetector” before starting the “PanelOprTest” application.

Reconnect Wi-Fi
• When losing the communication with detector, i.e., goes out of AP range, or
replaces the battery, the Wi-Fi signal icon at the status bar of DROC bottom screen
will become grey.
• If this function is enabled, when the connection is lost,
an error message box will popup. When this physical connection is restored, this
Wi-Fi icon will become to green again, then close this error message window.

>
Version 6.x
• In the file “DROC\Client\[Link]”, make sure
<add key=“IsRequiredForDetectorReconnection" value=“True" />

Note: this function is enabled as default.

17
Auto Image Recovery (5.x)
• iRay detectos support auto image recovery during exam if the auto
reconnect is enabled.
• In the exam screen, if DROC lost communication with the panel after
pressed down the exposure switch:
– the acquired image by the panel cannot be transferred to DROC,
– an error message will popup, and
– the WiFi signal icon in the status bar will become grey.

• After the network physical link is restored, DROC can automatically

reconnect the panel and the Wi-Fi signal icon in the status bar will become
green. Then, click the Ok button on the message box now, the image in
the last exposure could be automatically retransmitted to DROC.
