Mopu
Mopu is a character in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]
Biography
Mopu is a Korok who appears below the Minshi Woods Chasm in Minshi Grove during the "Trail of the Master Sword" Main Quest. They originally left Korok Forest to go on a walk with Tasho, Nako, Mokka, Raha, Jatora, and Maheli, but the group were unable to return through the Lost Woods.[2] With the exception of Tasho, the Koroks then descended into the Minshi Woods Chasm in an attempt to reach Korok Forest from the Depths.[2][3]
When Link speaks to Mopu, they ask if he is also searching for a way to reach Korok Forest.[4] If Link asks about Korok Forest, they explain their situation to him.[3] They then point Link in the direction that their fellow Koroks went.[5] Should Link speak to Mopu again, they claim that Koroks are able to see well in the Darkness, and they once again tell him which direction Korok Forest is located in.[6] Alternatively, if Link claims he is busy, Mopu is shocked and warns him to be careful.[7]
Nomenclature
Mopu's name is derived from supremo coffee. Their companions are also named after varieties of Coffee.
