Quick and dirty profiling could be had via:

gem install rails
rails profiling
cd profiling
ruby19 ./script/runner -e 0

(-e 0 may need to be changed to an empty script instead)

This may have to be changed to be compatible with rails 3 if you go with =
that version... But it should be painful enough in both rails 2 or 3. =
Last time I profiled it, rails 2 (low ... 2.1 or 2.2 or so) had > 500 =
requires just for startup.
