Hidden Dreams

Mighty new foes emerge! New Boss fights. New Upgrades. New Music.

Hidden Dreams is the first of the three free content packs planned for Hollow Knight.^[1] It was announced on June 7th, 2017^[2] and released on August 3rd, 2017.^[3]

This update added two boss fights with varying difficulty levels. It also brought the first major quality of life changes to the game including a Stag Station and a fast travel mechanic.

Changes

Essence is now obtainable from killing enemies
- Dream Wielder now increases the likelihood of this happening by 50%
Removed toll gate in Deepnest
Revek now becomes hostile and attacks if a Spirit in Spirits' Glade is Dream Nailed
Nosk gained two new attacks
Increased damage for Flukenest and Glowing Womb
Buffs to Cyclone Slash including increased size and reduced knockback
