this is beautiful... and such a mind bender, definitely one of the most unique games ive played in quite a while 🐁

That's a really good game !!!

I loved the art. It's so good for 1-BIT. Your color palette are nice too.

The perspective and gameplay is interesting. It's funny to memorize where is everything. I enjoyed playing it and discovering every room.

From start to the pan out, this was absolute cinema I love the style you have going. The music matched the scenes perfectly, I loved the tone that it set. The palette was vibrant and totally complemented the animated sprites!

Such striking style! It’s easy to imagine expanding this with a greater variety of things to do. For the sake of a jam, just the unlocking doors is plenty. Well done!

Beautiful game! i love the artstyle and use of the two colour theme. I found the jumping and movement very smooth too. i was a tad confused as to what I needed to do especially when I accidentally went through a door and I was in a completely new place haha, but I figured out pretty quickly what I needed to do. some of the platforms were kinda tricky to see but not impossible. i wish I coulda read the whole poem thing at the end but I got to the top and it just ended :( amazing game though! well done!

Beautiful idea. I got very motion sick though.

The perspective and art style are really stand out, if anything I would try to increase the contrast a bit between walkable platforms and background details - it's pretty difficult to make out the difference, which led to some confusion in the beginning because I didn't even anticipate there being a jump.

The general gameplay puzzle feels a bit tedious though - I don't know if there's a clear strategy I could've kept in my head to map out which urn is connected to which other urn.

Stellar entry. Very creative imo.

Visually stunning game! Very well done.

Really nice visuals! Playing it can make you a bit dizzy, and the music is sorta repetitive, but still a nice take on the theme.

This is visually a really beautiful game, I was very impressed! It took me a little while to figure out what I was supposed to do, but I stuck it out and finished the game. Overall, it was a cool experience and you should be proud of what you've made!

Thanks a lot !

I'm very happy that you took your time to continue the game until the end ! Indeed as I created the layout it became obvious to me, but it can be cartographied

Your last comment is very kind ! Were very proud of what we've done, and that it resonated with people !

Really cool game and idea! At the start I didn't really know what I was doing so I just kind of wandered around pressing interact until about halfway through I finally realised what the numbers were and what I was supposed to be doing. I think if there was a clear association made on the first vase between doors and levers it would have been a lot less confusing. But a really fun game, great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the review !

It was one of the objectives of having a troubling world that the player had to wonder around to understand the link between the vases, I structured the world in a way that if you take the open doors in the order you encounter them going to the right (well, in a cylindrical world you can go the other way anyway xD), you found a closed door, and you have to backtrack to found the according lever, also you can at the beginning go to the last level (the altar) but it will not be unlocked until you use the final lever.

But indeed more work could've been done for clarification on how the doors/levers are linked (and I kinda screw some numbers so it adds to the confusion xD), we'll try to arrange the first levels to add more clarity, I'm happy that you still were able to appreciate this world !

Great idea for a game. Very enjoyable and pleasing to the eye. The vases are beautifully made. The font in the last scene is a bit hard for me to see. Overall, a positive experience!

Developer

Thanks a lot ! Julie did an incredible work with the design of the vases

Indeed, it was the fist time we worked with the 1bit condition, and there's some work to do with clarification, wether for the contraptions or for the text during gameplay, we'll see if we can modify that after the jam !
