I thought the grapple mechanic was pretty cute, well done.

Got soft locked a few times but I enjoyed it. Fresh. New. Good work :)

Awesome work, doing a game jam on your own is hard, so props for handling art, sound, and programming.

The stealth aspect is fun, I’d work on giving the player a clear set of rules! For example, vision cones for enemies!

Fun submission!

Very funky :) The only feedback I’d give is when I have a combo going, I’d like to feel like I’m on fire. Things like subtle screen shake, color shifts, bass-ier music, so on. Anything to reward the player for doing well. Good work!

Definitely unique, I love the concept of a sekiro-style fighter in NES-feel. The only recommendation I would give is that it should be abundantly clear when you should parry. Overall, cool gameplay loop.

This project was incredibly well done, NES feel all the way. Great work :)

Thank you, much love!

Thanks a bunch for the feedback! We’re all really proud of our hard working audio producer—being able to balance a full life as well as making audio for games isn’t easy. Thank you for everything!

Resetting seamlessly is next on our list of improvements after the gamejam! Thanks again!

Hey! Super appreciate that lol. Our music producer is amazing at what they do. I started seeing the FromSoftware reference when you pointed it out lol.

Since then, spellcasting has been patched so I hope you come try it again soon. Thanks again!

Since then, spellcasting has been patched! Thanks for the feedback and I hope you come back to try it again! And there is not a way of resetting after losing. That’s what you get when you succumb to scope creep I suppose lol.

It was not in fact user error lol, those were issues that have since been patched. We appreciate your feedback on it!

Thanks for the feedback! It helped point us in the right direction. Those were game breaking bugs that we’ve since patched. Hopefully your next playthrough is more enjoyable! Much love!

Super great game loop, one of my favorites. I love how simple it is but still tough to master. Awesome work!

Awesome concept, great art, good music! I think the indication of when the beats are was difficult to figure out, a very simple line and a marker at which to hit it would be helpful. Also hitting buttons depending on what you wanna activate (be it a trap or attack) is alot to do at one time. Having everything on the map activate on space would make it really approachable. Those are the only two pieces of feedback I have. Overall great game!

Love the song at the end of a game loop. Great idea, well executed.

Super fun game, love the concept! I’d like the ability to pick up and replace turrets towards the beginning. I like the art and the music is solid. Great work!

Love the simplicity, art, music. Great work!

Absolutely love that idea, it’s one we fought over tooth and nail. Ultimately just didn’t only due to scope creep and lack of time, but any expansion of this game in the future will have that!

Thank you :) It seems like something super fun to make a full game for, I’m open to the idea and I’ll chat about it with my team.

She was made in a lab! Most of the details are on the linked google doc. Hope it answers just about any questions.

Most of the sprites were from artists on itch.io, they’re credited both in the description and end credits. ^ ^

Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Thank you, that was one of my favorite jokes too lol

It does keep going, the highest I got was 17. Thank you for the compliments, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you :)!

I think we just ran out of time but I also thought it was cute in the way someone would unlock a new entry in a recipe book! Thank you for the feedback, happy you enjoyed!

This is an awesome idea, I love the thought of crafting through this style. Original, fun, simple. Good job!

I actually really like this game! Cool concept, but it seems nearly impossible to break through the opponents defenses since you need to destroy all their enemies in each row at the same time, otherwise they can just replace the 2 they lost. I think adding an extra track should solve that. I love the idea and you should work on this further after the game jam - maybe work on balancing and adding some polish. It would be cool to see this as a full game and not one you were rushed on time for.

I lost, game’s rigged, dealer cheated. lol. Really cool take on blackjack, more violent than I expected. Good work!

The art and music is great, the game loop is fun and thematic, the controls are nice, the only thing I didn’t understand at first even with the tutorial was where to submit items. After one session it’s very easy to get into and very charming. Great work!

It’s simple and creative. The time pressure is great for my gesture drawing actually lol. Music is calming and art is good. Great submissiong!

Awesome submission! Tutorial is great, art is great, music is great, my only feedback is until you get down the muscle memory of the anvil, it’s unforgiving. Maybe adding a wider hitbox for passes? All around super great game!

This was super cute lol. I love this. The premise is simple and easy to understand, the artwork (esp a pen with a mustache) is fun, the music is simple and captures the vibe, and the game loop is modular so you can create more levels easily. To top all that off, it seems you did this all on your own. Amazing job - one of my favorites!

The crafting isn’t too complicated to understand - but it seems a lot of people weren’t able to get it so i wouldn’t say it’s intuitive. It may be good to keep all the actions on one easy to understand menu rather than multiple separate menus. Feedback aside, since this was a single developer project where you handled the music, art, programming all on your own, i’d say you did some good work. It’s not super easy to take on everything!

The game is fun to play, it froze on level 4 probably due to some programming line when hitting the lever, overall very fun - the ability to get drunk and boost your speed and also slippery-ness is very original. great work!

Super cute platformer, pixel graphics look good, the controls feel a bit slippery, but maybe that was the idea?
