Percona Server for MySQL

Pros: The first thing that caught my attention was its high performance. Percona Server for MySQL is built on top of the open-source MySQL, but with added features and a better performance. I noticed a significant improvement in query execution time compared to other databases I have worked with. This has greatly enhanced the overall performance and speed of our backend processes.

Cons: One of the best features of Percona Server for MySQL is its scalability. As a backend developer, I understand the importance of a database that can handle a growing amount of data without compromising on performance. With Percona, I was able to effortlessly scale up as our data grew, without any downtimes or performance issues. This has been a major advantage for our team, as we no longer have to worry about database limitations.

Overall: Another feature that I appreciate about Percona Server for MySQL is its security. It comes with built-in data encryption and advanced security measures that ensure the safety of our sensitive data. This is particularly important for enterprises that deal with customer data and need to comply with strict data privacy regulations.

Pros: After using their service for five months, I can say with certainty that it was well worth the effort. This server is excellent for any SQL queries. Although slightly more expensive than the competition, the cost is still fair and the server support is excellent. Additionally, its user interface is excellent.

Cons: Similar to other MySQL database servers, Percona Server is not a well-liked option, making it occasionally challenging to persuade businesses to choose it rather than the alternatives.

Overall: Overall, everyone who works with SQL should give this a try; I promise you'll enjoy it.
The server provided round-the-clock assistance, was online, and I never had a downtime, so I'd say it was successful.

Pros: Easy to install, good documentation, and supporting blog posts. It's currently the only way to use MyRocks on MySQL 8.

Cons: Fewer users than stock MySQL server, so it can be slightly harder to get community support for some edge cases.

Overall: MyRocks is a great storage engine and Percona offers comprehensive support and documentation for it.

Pros: 1. Excellent Connections redirect to all the nodes in MySQL Cluster
2. No Data loss even big disaster
3. Managing cluster is very easy
4. Configuring cluster is very easy and quick

Cons: If we get common static to connect all the nodes , which is more helpful.

Overall: Awesome! Best friendly product for DBA like me! Even is in big disaster have managed customer critical site is up and running!

Pros: Very fast and easy to use.
Can be easily learned by anyone.
Great user interface and can be easily setup.

Cons: No cons its just the documentation can be extended.

Overall: This application is the best for MySQL server, you can easily manage performance and database. I recommend Percona server for MySQL.

Pros: Percona Server for MySQL is very reliable, has a great set of tools that complement the database server.

Cons: Percona Server is not a popular choice like other MySQL database servers, and sometimes is difficult to convince companies to use it instead of the others.

Overall: My first experience with Percona was using the set of tools they offered for MySQL servers, after that good experience it was a no brainer to try the Percona Server. Its reliability has been unmatchable during all these years working as system administrator.

Pros: I like its UI design and also like the speed of processing of database. It is server is much faster than other servers.

Cons: I don't like its customer support feature. I would like to have more improvements on it.

Overall: It is basically amazing and I basically promote my friends and other people that I know to use this Percona server. Because I like its overall features.

Pros: The ease with one can install and use this makes this a perfect fit.
Moreover the great security it provides is icing on the cake. Additional tools are available to easily expand.

Cons: In my opinion a better UI would make this more favourable. Documentation for the end user can be improved as well.

Overall: Overall it is a great solution to manage MySQL database . It is easy to learn and works faster than other server solutions providing good support.

Pros: I used their service for a month now and could say it's worth every effort. Awesome server for every SQL inquiries. The server support is awesome, pricing is little high but in comparison with the competitors it's good.

Cons: It was little difficult to move around but after little effort everything was done.

Overall: Overall, everyone in SQL work should try this out and trust me you'll love it.
The server had all time support plus it was active and I never experienced a downtime, So yeah can say it's good.

Pros: I have used this software for the past 1 year. Its performance is great, xtrabackup and xtradb works greater than i thought, it's better than mysql, it offered a lot more features.

Cons: Can't find the solutions of problems without google help, need to have paid purchase.

Overall: It's overall great software to use, if you compare it with mysql, I don't regret my decision of switching from Mysql.

Pros: It's really worth to get the visual of MySQL graphs. I hope this product will worth for everyone group of companies.

Cons: Nothing to say almost all there in the update of Percona.

Overall: Best performance with best service guaranteed in every aspects. Having a very good user interface help a lot.

Cons: We have not found anything that we dislike! I could only add certain doubts about MyISAM support.

Overall: Our company has implemented a Percona cluster and we have had good experience, we continue to use and evaluate it.

Pros: It can work on cloud like google cloud, in my app deployment, the queries were run very fast decreasing the runtime and increasing performance, better than oracle one in my opinion.

Cons: I did not like high pricing, maybe ui and ux improvements can be made and also this needs better docs.

Overall: I migrated to Percona Server for MySQL from another database solution, oracle db. Percona Server for MySQL is used for my social media app. And Percona Server for MySQL is used to store, analyze, and work with user information. My aim is fast querying, easy deployment, and good support.

Regressive performance test: Currently we are relying on MySQL's load testing. Percona should have its load testing result.

Overall: Keeping in mind the easy scalability and deployment, it deserved this rating.
Percona is a modern day MySQL/RDBMS solution, where scalability is a pain point, logging is critical, performance is a bottleneck, and you're going to mostly work with the cloud. While it's relatively newer as opposed to more traditional offerings, it is catching up fast in features and support

Pros: Very good product, I think the pros are:
- Free software
- Freedom to implement it in the CLOUD
- Stable
- Easy

Cons: I think that maybe they could have more documentation for the end user, however it has a growing community which could improve the documentation in the near future.

Overall: Our company is making use of Percona Server for the administration of some databases and we have had a good experience and an excellent user experience, the response times have been satisfactory and the services show a lot of stability.

Pros: Everything works as expected.
Has very good and useful resources, documents, blogs and webinars.
Bug database is very useful.

Cons: Percona tools needs updates as they not works as expected with new versions or specifics.

Overall: I recommend Percona to all which are interested in MySQL as RDBMS.

Overall: In general terms, it is a good product for Cloud implementations, it has shown good performance in our applications, I would recommend it.

Pros: Installation and use are very easy, it is open source and I can know its development internally. The learning curve is short. Percona XtraDB cluster migrations become easy thanks to this software. It is equipped with security functions and can be used through the cloud.
We were able to achieve better performance with Percona Server, best of all, it is free.

Cons: I could only add as a disadvantage, the need to expand the documentation, and the support for large-scale applications.

Overall: Despite being a free and open source software, it has helped us with the implementation of some business software that we previously used with proprietary software, which has helped us to save money, in addition, Percona Server can be fully implemented in the cloud, which has been very useful for the migration of some products.
