Donna Jackson
From DoomWiki.org
Donna Jackson, also known as the "id mom" and "Miss Donna", is the long-time office manager of id Software. She was hired onto the company in January 1994[1] when the id guys found themselves in need of someone to keep their workspace functional while they focused on game development. According to David Kushner, she had her job cut out for her as "office destruction" became a sport amongst Adrian Carmack, Kevin Cloud, and John Romero.[2]
Despite being hired on for facilities maintenance and household-chore-like work, Donna has acquired experience in game design and testing during her tenure at the company. Perhaps ironically, as of 2024, she is the longest lasting employee at id.[1]
Trivia[edit]
- The title of one of the tracks on the Doom soundtrack, "Donna to the Rescue", is an obvious reference to her.
