INTRODUCTION

THE world is advancing exponentially!  The human race is at the peak of technological advancement,
and everything is getting computerised. Technology has somehow made its way to business as well!
Almost every business now applies Management information system.
 

Management information system or commonly referred as (MIS), is a hardware and software based
computer system that compiles all the important information for the organisation from multiple
online systems and source, which then analyses the data accordingly and provides data reports
which In term helps organisations to take management [Link] is very affective tool for the
operations of a company as it focuses on the targeted people, the company, technology and the
relation amongst people and the company and its affects. (Laudon and Laudon, 2019)

TYPES OF MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

Different information systems are implemented in business. Here are few types of information
system:

Transaction processing system or TPS, is a system created to process, track and collect all the
transactions of a company(Turban,2018)The system can be authorised to alter or decline past
transaction if such necessity occurs. TPS has the ability to handle vast amount of transaction with
extreme precision, it can effectively record multiple numbers of transaction even if different
transaction occurred simultaneously. (Lewis, Bernstein and Kifer, 2002)

Decision support system aids in decision making for an organisation by analysing the Essential data
and providing a statistical report derived from it. Dss gathers required information from several
sources to help managers  make better and accurate Decisions based on it.
Management information system allows managers to run the organisation more smoothly and
precisely by the utilisation of  information technology. These system gathers and compiles
information in methodic structure for managers to evaluate and compare companies current and
previous conditions.

Executive support system abbreviated as ESS is used to report enterprise wide data to the executives
of the company. They provides graphical displayed reports which are quick and easy to be reviewed
and compared. These system can also be classified  as a specialised decision support system, as they
helps executives to take quality decision. These systems are often customised to fit  the clients
requirement as different organisation has different needs.

The modern society is tilting towards the information technology. Which in change it’s causing the
industrial society to change into an information society. The information technology is reducing
barriers and boundaries for the business. The management information system Has turned out to
be the key requirement to differentiate good luck for the services for an organisation. management
system is a system that overlooks and collect data throughout the whole organisation, process the
data and analyse them to provided to the management for different business requirements.

The Apple Inc Have a Well built information system that helps them provide accurate information,
for a particular moment to the right people. Apple I’ve been thriving with one most of which is to
lead in the field of innovation. The Apple Inc it’s built on a high level of internal communication
process. Well maintained company intranet allows the employees To access Essential datas through
their laptop or desktop. The company is powerful extranet allows them to maintain a strong bond
with their app developers and suppliers. This system is allows the company to create value chain
amongst supplier production retail store and the organisation. The information is from the retail
stores are fed to the customer service department (Ramey,2012)

Implication of MIS

The Apple Inc iTunes application utilises the transaction processing system, it opens a door for the
customer to purchase products online via invoices and online receipt(businessthoughts, 2012). The
Apple Inc uses iCloud which is a technology which open the gate way to digital content to making,
retrieving, story of different office information witching times allows them to achieve different
organisational adjectives.

(Bajarin,2016) Apple Inc can you times also uses the computer application DSF or the decision
support system,this system analyses all the organisational data and turns them Into useful
information which the company can use for better decision making. (Mata,2016) The Apple Inc use
of both qualitative and quantitative management in the decision-making process. Which means the
company analysed about the human thinking process, patterns and Human behaviour while
developing their management information system For the best effective result.

The management information system Is very essentialAny organisation in this era of business, but
when discussing about apples information technology system they keep it secret as to protect their
competitive position in the industry( Bleach, 2016) .The Apple Inc Being the worlds leading digital
product manufacturer has utilised the information technology and gained a competitive advantage
in the world [Link] their innovations in information technology Apple has reached a
distinctive level of customer satisfaction and a brand loyalty.
