Sound 3 QP Solved

Two students need a speaker, microphone and stopwatches to measure the speed of sound by timing how long it takes sound to travel between the devices. The speed is calculated by dividing the distance between the devices by the travel time. One precaution is to not place the devices too close together. Sound waves in air travel around 340 m/s while sound waves in water travel around 1000 m/s.
