INSTALLATION CHECKLIST FOR MCB DB

1 Make and quality as per spec.

DB frame grouted properly in wall (in floor if floor


2 mounted). Frame is painted, aligned square with the DB
and vertically in plumb.
Unused knockouts of the DB are closed with rubber
3 bushings

4 DB is earthed properly at two points. Check that the paint


at the earthing contact is removed.
5 Internal earth connected to earthing bolt.

6 All terminations in MCBs done with lugs.

7 Circuit identification provided with ferrules on the wires.

8 Incoming cable glanded properly. Gland is earthed. Gland is


held firmly with check nut.

DB name plate provided (Printed sticker / Aluminium


9 plates glued and screwed)

10 Doors of the DB opens fully and easily.

11 Pad locking arrangement provided on the DB.

12 All the wires have adequate loop, are dressed properly,

13 DB cleaned thoroughly.

14 All cables and wires meggered.

Internal wiring (from Incomer to outgoing bus bars) done


15 with factory formed cables.
