Purpose of Assignment

Under the direct supervision of the Partnership Manager, the consultant will support Generation Unlimited (GenU) in advancing strategic planning and strengthening global governance to advance employability, employment and entrepreneurship for young people.

Scope of Work

  • Strengthen and further professionalize GenU’s global governance to help scale market-relevant skilling and livelihood opportunities for young people.
  • Drive Strategic Planning and Alignment (Support operationalization of the GenU Strategy 2026–2029; Lead Annual Work Planning and Mid-Year and End-Year Reviews; Support Strategic Communications).

Minimum Requirements

Education: Master’s Degree in international development, social sciences or related fields.

Work Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience in strategic planning, coordination, and partnership and event management.

  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Organizational, planning and prioritizing skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • A solid understanding of programming and partnerships in UNICEF is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; knowledge of another UN language (e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian) is an asset.
