Kau M @KauaMiguel 17 hrs ago I must admit, the premise sits right on the fence: while the idea of ​​it being a random "side quest" is arguably the film's cool factor, it simultaneously strips the story of any real weight. There’s an attempt to build a character tied to the zombie lore, but honestly? You practically forget that’s even part of the movie—if you were to cut that element out entirely, the film would remain the same, or perhaps even improve. That said, I do still quite enjoy the atmosphere and the zombies; at times, the direction makes them feel like an unstoppable, overwhelming threat, which is genuinely exciting. However, unlike the first film—where everything, from the protagonist to the motivations, was memorable—this one seems to offer nothing beyond aimless gunfire and running around, featuring poorly developed characters and a lead with zero charisma. I know they tried to provide a new view and perspective of the books, including new characters, I still would love to see Manuel, Pritchenko, Lucia and Lúluco fighting their way, just like in the books.
