It might be a spiritual heir to the likes of Jaws, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and other blockbusters made back when the best, most riveting spectacles were always borne along on potent psychological currents. Go to Full Review

"Godzilla Minus Zero" is bigger, louder, darker, and longer. It’s better than its predecessor, and I believe that Yamazaki will win his second best visual effects Oscar for work that tops the earlier film’s excellent imagery. Go to Full Review

In a plot that quietly rings multiple alarms — biological weapons, climate change, shifting global allegiances — “Godzilla Minus Zero” gives us a monster newly burdened with representing more threats than perhaps even he can comfortably carry. Go to Full Review

It sweeps us along with the monumental effects of the kaiju, and the deeply personal stories of the humans caught up in the invasion of same. It’s, ahem, enormous fun made all the better for its promise of another installment in the near future. Go to Full Review

What Yamazaki has made here reckons not just with Godzilla’s legacy as a metaphor for the atomic bomb, but with the nature of life after war, and the cost of finding peace. And it does it in an unforgettable fashion. Go to Full Review

Santiago 24 min ago As a life-long Kaiju fan, I would highly recommend you watch this movie. It had endless adventure, drama, suspense, and Kaiju madness. Seeing Godzilla on the big screen is a once in a lifetime opportunity.👍 See more
Julie O 27 min ago I loved -1 and it kept the cinematography and the heart of that one, but added some intimacy. bringing in the depths of Hiroshima gave it a depth beyond just another monster movie. And yet still brings all the excitement of fan favorite monster moments See more
Q_Sym2792 28 min ago Definitely didn't disappoint. It brought the same nuanced perspective of the first movie. With ordinary people fighting against monsters as forcses of nature, terrifying and merciless. These aren't superheros but regular people using ingenuity to go against impossible situations. The added setups with the other governments trying to use them as pawns strikes as reality. I definitely felt true tension in a lot of the scenes. highly recommend. See more
