This film succeeds because of Qualley’s mercurial and tone-rich performance, the gorgeous cinematography from Todd Banhazl and a nuanced protagonist confronting both exterior and interior hardships.

Manipulation is a given in this brand of weepie, as essential to the formula as martyrdom. If love means never having to say you’re sorry, I won’t apologize for blubbering through this movie.

Films with texture understand things that others don’t, and "Love of Your Life" has the conviction and sincerity to linger.

A beautiful, deeply sad film that understands grief is more than missing someone. Sometimes it’s mourning the life you imagined you could have had, and fearing that moving forward means leaving that life behind.

Don’t waste your time … predictable and drawn out. Very little story even though it starts off ok…

Excellent acting from great cast...heartfelt message brought out by Maya ...I felt her pain and anguish and brought back memories of my ER years.Grief may not be forgotten but can drift subliminally away over time. Well done!

It made me feel deeply. When art accomplishes this one task I believe one cannot complain. This movie is life, raw, passionate, terrifying, stunning, and the material is well- handled by both the director and Margaret Qually as the emotional glue. This is well trodden ground, but there is wisdom to be gained here. I chose to watch this based on a little nugget I picked up in the trailer. You have to love your own life. That really resonated. This is no waste of time. It’s difficult, but it’s beautiful. You will feel, and we need to feel for others, I surmise, all of us, just a little more, every day. I am no fan of critics , for I know the labors of creating art, so perhaps more could be said, but I think that’s enough. I hope anyone who needs to feel something will give it a watch. A final thought: if you don’t fix what’s broken inside of you, you will wind up bleeding on so many who didn’t cut you.

There is nothing deep, thought-provoking, or even remotely original about this movie. The love story feels incredibly contrived and unbelievable, relying on a series of boring, tacky coincidences that simply don’t happen in real life. There seems to be an attempt to make this an artistic and profound film, but it falls miserably short. The long pauses, lingering stares, and supposedly meaningful silences feel awkward, forced, and ultimately pretentious rather than emotionally engaging.
