Critics Consensus

Frenetic and frequently hilarious, Pizza Movie overloads itself with psychedelic toppings while remaining a tasty slice of gonzo comedy.

My goodness does it flail when brought to life on the screen in a collection of pointless and random hallucinatory digressions that mean nothing and go nowhere as they desperately strive for laughs.

Even when the laughs evaporate in the final stretch, Gaten Matarazzo and Sean Giambrone know how to breathe comic life into a stoner buddy comedy that’s high on its own shitfaced supply.

It’s fast, witty, and packed with clever punchlines, though it still finds time for several scatological gags.

You don’t punch up your comedy by yelling your jokes, you do it by writing better jokes.

If you’re looking for a cinematic masterpiece or a serious, life-changing movie with a plausible plot, then Pizza Movie isn’t it. But it’s the best stoner comedy I’ve seen in quite some time.

What a flop of a movie. I couldn't even finish watch it the movie was cringy and weird acting. Ive enjoyed similar movies but this was just weird. Definitely some funny sections and quirky acting that made it enjoyable but yeah. Really struggled to watch the whole movie and I will happily not watch this again.

I thought it was pretty tone deaf, with strange elements. Would definitely not recommend, and honestly confused how certain parts of this movie were even approved.

Definitivamente no era lo que me esperaba, muchísimas cosas locas y Gaten Matarazzo trae toda la energía de Stranger Things a este personaje.
