In this fourth chapter of the hit comedy franchise THE NAPA BOYS, Jack Jr. (Nick Corirossi), his reluctant co-captain Miles Jr. (Armen Weitzman), and the rest of the Napa Boys gang are back for one more wine-sloshed journey into the unknown. With a mission set forth by the mysterious "Sommelier," they are joined this time by Puck, a bright young podcaster and the Napa Boys' biggest fan, as the group embarks on the adventure of a lifetime. Featuring Sarah Ramos, Mike Mitchell, Chloe Cherry, Vanessa Chester, Paul Rust, Jamar Neighbors, Nelson Franklin, David Wain, Ray Wise, Riki Lindhome, Natasha Leggero, Ivy Wolk and Beth Dover, THE NAPA BOYS enlists a hilarious ensemble of alt-comedians to hop in the Wine Wagon™ for the new installment in this historic (made-up) franchise.

Critics Consensus

The Napa Boys occasionally hints at sharp intelligence but ultimately collapses into an endless string of inside jokes and unfocused gags that rarely cohere.

That aside, the film’s barrage of scenes, sketches, shout-outs and absurdist scenarios leading up to the climactic wine-making championship are largely harmless flights of farce.

Still, there is something about Corirossi's comedy that's so committedly in your face you can't ignore it, but I grew weary of its artillery of sophomoric, repetitive inside-baseball jokes.

The humor is over-the-top and often exaggeratedly juvenile, but like many nominally “dumb” comedies, it’s the product of a keen and deliberate intelligence.

The sort of movie that seems like it’s made up entirely of inside jokes that I’m not a part of.

Great jokes fall flat or fail to meet their full potential because the script is focused on individual moments with little regard to their part in the actual whole.

The Napa Boys turns WTF into some form of deeply insane art.

Heartwarming that something so weird and stupid (complimentary) can exist in an era of soulless slop. To the grape!

The Napa Boys is an awful film, and it makes a terrible first impression. I had not seen the previous movies because the title simply presented itself as The Napa Boys, so I judged it on its own. The story follows two guys, one focused on life and the other an over-the-top idiot. Unfortunately, that character is supposed to provide the comedy, but his behavior becomes exhausting instead of funny. The screenplay is a major problem. The jokes rarely land, and the exaggerated character never becomes entertaining. I kept waiting for the story to find a rhythm, but it never happened. Even following the plot became a struggle. Ultimately, The Napa Boys is a complete mess. I cannot say whether the earlier films work any better, but this one does not stand on its own. The comedy falls flat, the writing lacks creativity, and there is very little to keep an audience invested. I expected entertainment and spent most of the time wondering what I was watching. I would not recommend it.

Mitch! Mitch! Mitch! A lot of people thought I wasn't going to review this movie because I loved it so much, but I'm here to prove them wrong, I am going to review this movie. I loved it so much. Either laughing or smiling ear to ear the entire time. Just genius. I didn't think Armen Weitzman was that funny on CBB, but after watching him on Doughboys, I knew he had it. Of course, Mitch. Way funnier than it needs to be, which is its only fault. Ray Wise!
