Portfolio Output No. 3: Personal Assessment of Aspects of
Development with Plan of Action

In terms of physical self, I am not contented in my skin type and my shape

of my body because my face is full of acnes and my body shape is a little bit
chubby. I want to be skinny and tall. I am also happy with what I have
achieved in terms of my intellectual self. These attributes help me do
good in school and in daily life, and I want to improve and learn more not just
in worldly knowledge but also the spiritual knowledge. I have a quite unstable
emotionally. There are still personal issues, such as the lack self-esteem, that
need to be solved. I also need to keep my temper in check and try to be more
mature. I am quite disadvantaged when it comes to my emotional self
because sometimes I don’t know how to controlled my
feeling/emotions. In terms of my sensual self I am contented
because I prefer to use all senses that I have. I can
effectively use all of my senses to perform sound judgment,
observations and etc. I also need to improve my senses to
much better. With regards to my interactional self, I am happy of
this because l am contented to have better relationship with
my family and my friends. And I want to improve some
attitude of me like shyness and more often in other person.
In terms of my nutritional self I am super contented because
I grew up that my parents train/discipline us to eat the
nutritious foods like vegetables and fruits. I also eat meats
and fish but I‘m not often to eat fish, usually I ate fish like
milkfish and other fatty fish. I prefer to eat vegetable. Living
in the Philippines is a dilemma for me, for the hot and humid climate makes
me feel really uncomfortable. I would like to live in a quiet areas/places, and
one that is cool and dry in order to satisfy the needs of my contextual self.
In terms of my spiritual self I am very thankful to know who’s our God and
contented to my religion. For me as a youth it’s very important to have the
religion, I know religion is not our salvation but for me it is also our god to
follow our beliefs because there are many religion and it has different beliefs.
As a youth/human being we needs god in our life to be stronger not just in
physical aspects but also the spiritual aspects because of the
problems/challenges in this world and temptation of the demons.

Portfolio Output No. 5: My Personal Timeline with Reflection

1. Is there a ‘center’ or a central theme in your timeline and life? If you will give a title for your timeline
what would it be and why?

2. Identify the turning points in your timeline. What were the thoughts, feelings and actions that you
experienced?

3. Who are/were the most significant people in your life? How did they influence you?

4. What would you change or add, if you could? How would each of these changes or additions affect
your life, or even change its present course?

5. Where do you want to be in a year, 5 years, and 10 years? What do you expect your future timeline
will be?

In my personal timeline, the central theme of it is mostly about my growth and the
important events that shaped me as a person. Most of the events in the timeline are somehow
school – related signifying that a lot of things that happened to me was in school. If I could place
a title on my own work, I will call it “My Personal Journey” because it is a representation of all
the memorable moments that I have in the past years of my life and I see it as a journey for I will
still embark on newer tasks and platforms in life that I’ll soon discover. A few turning points in
my life was way back in Grade 7 when I was still adjusting to the new atmosphere of the school
with my new classmates. There was a feeling of shyness and awkwardness during that time but
my confidence soon developed. The most significant people in my life are my parents, friends,
and teachers that helped discover who I was. They also influenced me with good morals and
acts of kindness. If I would change or add something in my timeline, I would definitely add more
events of being more open and confident to my classmates. Adding that would affect what I am
today and would make me more confident and sociable than before. In the next year, I would
like to be still with my parents and friends. For the next 5 years, I want to be in a good college
studying the course that I want. Lastly, I would like to see myself with my desired profession in
the next 10 years.

1. What are anxiety disorders/depression?

Anxiety disorders refer to specific psychiatric disorders that involve

extreme fear or worries, and include generalized anxiety disorders
(GAD), panic disorders, panic attacks, agoraphobia, social anxiety
disorders, selective mutism, separation anxiety, and specific
phobias. Depression, on the other hand, is a condition in which a
person feels discouraged, sad, hopeless, unmotivated, or
disinterested in life in general for more than two weeks and when
feelings interfere with daily activities. Major depression is a treatable
illness that affects the way a person thinks, feels, behaves, and
functions. At any point in time, 3 to 5 percent of people suffer from
major depression. The lifetime risk is about 17 percent.

2. Who gets anxiety disorders/depression and how common are they?

Anxiety disorders affect both men and women, though they occur
more often in women because they tend to be more emotional.
Anxiety disorders are believed to develop due to a mix of biological
factors along with individual situations, much like other health
problems. According to research, many people who have
experienced depression have a history of anxiety disorders. How
common are they? They are most common in people who have

things that you do. Keeping busy and staying in touch with friends
will help that person feel better. Learn as much as you can about
mental illnesses so that you can better understand what is going on

someone with a mental health problem, make sure that you get help
as well. Talk to someone about what is happening. This will help you
be a better support person. Lastly, put the person’s life before your
friendship. If the person mentions thoughts of suicide, don’t keep it

“Tired at School”

Dear Tired at School,

Falling asleep in class is a rather common scenario for students

these days. However, you must keep in mind that it is not normal, nor is it
healthy. I understand that you need sleep and try to cope up with it by
sleeping in your classes, but trust me, your teachers aren’t the only one who’s
going to get angry, also your parents when they see your report card at the
end of the semester. That is why you need to cut it off and start fixing your
sleeping routine.

You mentioned you can’t seem to sleep at night. Why is that? Is it

because you spend too much time of electronic gadgets or maybe lack of
managing schedule in sleeping. If this is the reason of your problem so you
should limit your exposure of gadgets before you go to bed and avoid the
distractions that can keep you awake in late night. It is important to have
healthy eating diet to help your body healthy. It is important to manage your
time of sleeping and sleep atleast 8-9 hours. Lastly you should train yourself
