Splinterhorn

Its shell gives it the advantage of surprise, but also forces it into a slender, brittle shape that cannot withstand a heavy attack.

Splinterhorns are enemies in Hollow Knight: Silksong. They are lanky, quadrupedal members of the Splinter Tribe with bulging eyes and a split-horn head.
Behaviour and Tactics
Splinterhorns hide as background branches, shaking and popping up once Hornet gets close. They can only walk forwards to close the distance between themselves and Hornet, and are much more aggressive than Splinters. Once in range, they use one of two attacks:
- Whirling Jump: Tenses in place and extends its sharp horns before leaping upwards whilst spinning wildly. Getting hit by this attack at any time causes Hornet to be comboed for
+
. - Horn Ram: Extends its horns and charges at Hornet, stopping once she is behind it.
Splinterhorns deal
with Horn Ram and upon contact.
Act 3
Black-threaded Splinterhorns have their health quadrupled. They can gain any of the standard void attacks.
Needolin Dialogue
- Hidey, hidey, here I lay!
