Volatile Mosskin
The gas that seeps from their growths smells invitingly sweet, but it will burn through shell and flesh if you get too close!
Volatile Mosskin are enemies in Hollow Knight. They are Mosskin who became swollen with Infection.[1]
Behaviour and Tactics
It meanders back and forth peacefully until disturbed. Once engaged, it shakes rapidly before producing an orange cloud of Infection, similar to those of Fungified Husks.
After it is killed, its corpse produces one final explosion.
When it begins to shake, step away to avoid being caught in the gas explosion. The same goes for its post-mortem explosion; pay attention to where the body lands and make sure to step away before it explodes. If the corpse lands in water or acid, it will not explode.
